We are pleased to announce that Hixon Industrial Estate was recently purchased by Hortons Estate Ltd.

Hixon Airfield Services is located in the former Control Tower at Hixon Airfield Industrial Estate. The Estate is built on a decommissioned World War II Airbase, and currently comprises 31 industrial units built in the mid 1970s.

The units we manage range from 1,329 sq ft up to 135,000 sq ft and several are currently available to let through our retained letting agents, A J Phillips Chartered Surveyors. Please see the availability page for details.

Most units are of steel portal frame construction with part brick and block cavity walls, under double lined sheet roofs. Many also have roller shutter doors and reinforced concrete floors.

Hixon has good access to M6 motorway and other major roads.

Second World War Pilots

In 1942, Hixon became a temporary home to 3,000 airmen from across the world. Named 30 OTU on account of its 30 Wellington Bombers, Hixon's pilots played a major part in the Second World War.
